This study aims to evaluate chemical usage costs in the Public Area Section of Hotel X Tawangmangu from January to June 2025 and to identify cost-efficiency strategies that do not compromise cleanliness standards. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed, utilizing structured observations, interviews, and document analysis. The results show a cost reduction from IDR 3,500,000 to IDR 2,850,000—representing an 18.6% increase in efficiency—achieved through improved SOP compliance, staff training, and a transition to concentrated cleaning chemicals. Cleanliness scores rose from 88/100 to 92/100, indicating that the efficiency gains stemmed from reduced chemical waste rather than a decline in cleanliness standards. The findings underscore the importance of process control and human resource development in achieving cost efficiency regarding chemical usage.
