Learning motivation is one of the key factors in determining the success of the educational process. However, low student engagement and the limited availability of adaptive and engaging learning media remain significant challenges in modern education. This study aims to develop adaptive interactive multimedia based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance students’ motivation and learning outcomes through personalized, responsive, and interactive content tailored to individual learning needs. The research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach adopting the Borg and Gall model, which includes literature review, needs analysis, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), system design, application development, expert validation, and field testing stages. The research participants involve junior high school students in Makassar City, Indonesia. Data are analyzed quantitatively to measure students’ learning motivation, engagement, and improvement in learning outcomes after using the developed application. The developed application is an AI-based adaptive interactive multimedia application capable of dynamically adjusting learning content based on students’ characteristics and responses, along with scientific publication in a reputable national journal. The study contributes an innovative AI-based adaptive interactive multimedia that effectively improves students' learning motivation, engagement, and learning outcomes.
